1:1 Single Session in Massage Therapy or Touch for trauma recovery
Trauma-informed Massage & Therapeutic Touch
What your body remembers isn’t always something you can explain — but it can be met and tended.
A single session of slow, attentive touch can soften guarded tissues, widen your breath, and remind your nervous system that safety is possible.
Why choose therapeutic touch?
Settle shock or a wired system – gentle myofascial and deep-tissue techniques invite the stress or shock physiology to dial down.
Release long-held tension or pain – from neck, jaw, and shoulder tightness to chronic migraines or post-injury strain.
Meet trauma in a different language – touch speaks directly to the body, bypassing the thinking mind and allowing stored protective patterns to unwind.
Bridge to deeper work – a massage session can stand alone, or sit beautifully alongside nervous-system education and 1:1 somatic therapy.
“Charlotte’s work in all its forms has been transforming to my physical and emotional well-being over the past 6 months.
After suffering 30+ years with debilitating migraine and muscle spasms working with Charlotte with the practice of somatic therapy combined with massage has been a game changer”
What to expect
Two welcoming locations
Canford Cliffs, Dorset – a light-filled home clinic overlooking peaceful woodland and a five-minute stroll to the beach.
The Well Garden, Hackney Downs, London – a calm, community health space.
Arrival & check-in
We begin with a brief chat about what you’re needing today: ease from pain, help with overwhelm, or simply deep rest. Together we’ll shape the session length, pressure, and focus areas so you feel safe and seen.
The session
You’ll be covered with cotton sheets, option also to have a weighted blanket and a heated table (cushions and bolsters available). My touch is firm, slow, and highly responsive – blending myofascial release, deep-tissue, and soothing holds. You can talk, stay silent, or drift; I’ll check in gently and follow your cues.
Most clients leave feeling lighter, more spacious, and able to breathe a little deeper – sometimes for the first time in a very long time.

A gentle note
These are single, stand-alone sessions — and they can be a restorative entry point into reconnecting with your body.
That said, healing from trauma and chronic dysregulation is rarely a one-time fix. It’s a process that unfolds gradually, with safety, consistency, and care.
If you’re curious about receiving longer-term support and working at a deeper pace, I invite you to explore my Specialist Sessions for Trauma and Complex Trauma Recovery — a 1:1 series designed to meet you where you are, and walk with you gently toward lasting change.
